Welcome to the Micro-Materials Characterization Laboratory Website
We research diverse ceramic, metal, and polymer materials in order to gain a fundamental understanding of the relationships between a material’s microstructure, mechanical properties, and engineering performance. We utilize an array of microstructure and mechanical property characterization tools including metallography, scanning electron microscopy, x-ray tomography, and macroscale and microscale tensile testing.
